Grass and Leaf Service runs
from April 1st through November 30 (city ordinance) Please do not mix
grass clippings and leaves with household trash, brush or tree branches
during these months
Grass and leaf service
occurs on a different day than your normal garbage pickup and there is
an extra charge for those that request that service
Grass clippings and leaves
may be placed in normal 32 gallon or less garbage cans, a tote that you
rent on a monthly basis, or city approved paper recylable bags
available and various locations
Branches, garden
waste, pine needles etc. will be taken with normal household trash at
no extra charge, unless there is an excessive amount
Containers used for garbage
service may be no larger than 32 gallons (Lincoln Municipal code
8.32.220)
We have 90 gallon
containers (totes) available for use for a nominal monthly fee
Please place all totes at
curb by 6 am on pickup day and be aware of weight limits, while we do
take dirt, cement, rock, sod etc. in small amounts, please do not load
totes full of these items
Branches muct be cut down
to 4 - 5 feet in length, tied in bundles if possible, or at least laid
in armload piles
Please keep weight of cans
and bags to a resonable level, if you can lift it, we can lift it
Paint
can be taken but must be dried out before placing in cans for removal
We
can and do take furniture including matresses and box springs, chairs,
couchs, tables etc. there
may be an extra charge
Hideabed
type couches/loveseats must have the inner spring mechanism removed
We
ask that carpet be cut down to no larger than 6 foot rolls, usually
this takes cutting the carpet only once
We cannot take:
Appliances (call

Tires, check with your
local tire dealer
Oil, check with your
local service station
Holiday Service
The only holidays there
will NOT be service are: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years day
Thanksgiving is always made
up on the following saturday
If you have ONCE a week
service on monday or tuesday and Christmas/New Years day falls on one
of these days, makeup day will be the following Wednesday
If you have ONCE a week
service on thursday or friday and Christmas/New Years day falls on one
of these days, makeup day will be the following Saturday
Snow Days
While we try our best to pick up
everyone when the weather turns particularly bad, it's not always
possible to finish the appointed routes and still make it to the
landfill before it closes for the day.
These 'Snow Days' will be
handled much like the Holiday Service
If you have ONCE a week
service on monday or tuesday and we are unable to pick up your
household trash on the appointed day, makeup day will be on the
following Wednesday
If you have ONCE a week
service
on thursday or friday and we are unable to pick up your household trash
on the appointed day, makeup day will be on the following Saturday
Please try and limit calls to
normal business hours: 8:00 AM - 5 PM Monday - Friday
If your garbage is not picked up on the appointed day, please call that
day and we will come by the next day.
